SHOW NOTES - MAY 22, 2009

NEW SEGMENT BEGINS TOMORROW: WHO IS...?
Innaugural Victim...er...Guest: Scott Elliff

WHO IS...SCOTT ELLIFF?

Beginning this Saturday on the show, the old KWM Back Porch segment becomes 'Who is...?' Scott Elliff will be in to kick things off. Who is Scott Elliff? We all know he's the Superintendent of CCISD, of course. But what else can we find out about this civic leader?

Oh, and we imagine Joe will ask some CCISD questions, too.

Your calls and questions for Scott welcome: 560-KEYS (560-5397).

HILLIARD'S MOVIE TALKIN' GOES GLOBAL!
Get on board: www.themoviehour.com

Guess what, Corpus Christi? KWM may have shrunk, but Joe's patented movie talkin' has outgrown Corpus Christi overnight. The formerly one hour portion of KWM called Movie Hour has blown up into a worldwide phenom! Movie Hour had been the only film talk radio show in Texas and it's absence on CC's airwaves is a huge blow to the city's cool-o-meter, but never fear! It's just moved to a more worldwide-y venue.

The Movie Hour with Joe Hilliard and Ethan Thompson (click here for more info) is Joe's new weekly film podcast that has listeners in all 50 states and over 40 countries. Listen in, movie freaks.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR KWM:
Allow us to clarify. KWM will stay KWM: Joe pledges to continue changing CC one hour at a time with the BEST guests and most real talk about what's REALLY happening in town. Movie Hour--new and improved, uncensored and on steroids--will be available online, here.

Top Four Questions about The Movie Hour with J & E:

WHAT IS THE MOVIE HOUR?
The Movie Hour is a weekly podcast hosted by Joe Hilliard and Ethan Thompson about all things film. It's a tantalizing blend of criticism, opinion, film trivia and humor.

HOW DO I LISTEN TO IT?
Simply go to www.themoviehour.com to subscribe, download, or listen to the show. It doesn't cost a dime to listen. The first episode is up now and Episode Two will be published sometime today.

We're glad you're listening, but iTunes users can REALLY help us out by clicking the 'Subscribe with iTunes' button found at www.themoviehour.com. This is free and painless. It sets The Movie Hour up in your iTunes to download every episode weekly and gets us a tad more power over at iTunes.

WHAT IS LIVING ROOM FILM FESTIVAL?
LRFF is your chance to get involved in the show by choosing up to 5 films that you would program as a viewing marathon. Imagine inviting over 20 of your closest friends and they're forced to watch your picks in all-night film-watching blowout. If you owned your own movie theater, what would YOU program? The only catch is that Ethan and Joe pick the theme of LRFF each week.

What films, up to five, would you program into a long night of marathon film watching with your closest friends with that theme? Send the list to us at themoviehour@gmail.com before Wednesday, February 18th, 6PM Central so we can discuss them on air.

HOW ELSE CAN I HELP THE MOVIE HOUR?
As we mentioned above, click that 'Subscribe with iTunes' button. It's free and painless.

We are looking for feedback. Please let us know what you would like to hear about. Blog/comment on the show here or at www.themoviehour.com.

And most importantly, tell your friends. Spread the word. Know a movie person? Let them know about the show.
