CC7D proudly presents the 2010 Jury.

Randy Bilski, Consultant, IATSE
Randy Bilski is a consultant for IATSE (International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crafts of the United States, Its Territories and Canada) and a regional member of TXMPA (Texas Motion Picture Alliance). Randy has worked on film sets for over 10 years including Office Space, Spy Kids, and Grindhouse. Randy judged this year’s films from the set of Seven Days in Utopia.

Michael Meredith, Filmmaker
Born and raised in Texas, Michael Meredith wrote, directed and produced The Open Road starring Jeff Bridges and Justin Timberlake, portions of which were shot in Corpus Christi. Meredith's first feature film was 2002’s Three Days of Rain which starred Peter Falk, Blythe Danner, Lyle Lovett and Jason Patric. In 2006, Meredith wrote the screenplay for Wim Wenders's Land of Plenty, which earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination. Michael frequently collaborates with Wenders who has produced many of his films.

Solomon Ortiz, Jr., State Representative
Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Solomon Ortiz, Jr. was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in November 2006. Solomon represents District 33 which is located entirely within the city of Corpus Christi. He is also a member of the Mexican American Legislative Caucus, the Texas Democratic Caucus and the National Conference of State Legislators Labor and Economic Development Committee.

Sylvia Sether, Filmmaker
A native Texan, Sylvia Sether wrote and directed her first short film, Sway, in 2005. Since that time, she has worked in all aspects of production; everything from assisting on high profile music videos and television, to editing various projects. In 2009, she was one of eight women selected to participate in the American Film Institute’s Directing Workshop for Women. Through this program she made a short film called Overdrawn that is now on the festival circuit. Sylvia currently resides in Los Angeles

Jeff Stacy, Filmmaker
A native Texan, Jeff Stacy has worked on film and television sets for over 20 years including Twelve Monkeys, Body of Lies, National Treasure: Book of Secrets, The Wire, and Oz. Jeff has won several awards for both filmmaking and writing including Best Director of a Short Film at The New York International Independent Film and Video Festival, three Maryland States Arts Grants, a North Carolina Arts Council Fellowship, Best Narrative at The Illinois Film and Video. When not traveling the world on set, Jeff's resides in Austin, TX.
