Immediately following The CC7D Screening on August 23, 2008, is the CC7D Awards Ceremony honoring the best films and performances.  The 2007 CC7D Tiles for Grand Jury Prize
Awards Update - Updated Aug. 16 The 2nd Annual Rockport Film Festival, held November 6-8, 2008, has reserved a spot for the following winning films in their program: Grand Jury, Honorable Mention and Technical Acheivement. The Team Leaders responsible for these films will receive weekend passes to the festival. Winners of all four acting categories will also receive weekend passes.The following local business have donated goods and/or services for winning Team Leaders: Hilton Garden Inn - Free Overnight Stay Yin Yang Fandango - 30 Minute Massages Republic Beverage - a gift from Copolla Wineries
New 2008 Award - The Filmmakers' Award Beginning in 2008, CC7D introduces The Filmmakers' Award. The Filmmakers' Award will go to the Team Leader whose film receives the most votes from his fellow Team Leaders. Only film In Competition are eligible. Only Team Leaders vote for this award, and they may not vote for their own film. All Team Leaders who turned in a film, In Competition or not, may vote for this award.
Jury Awards The 2008 CC7D Jury watches the films and picks their choices to win several awards. All of the Jury awards receive a CC7D plaque. The 7 awards chosen by the jury are:
Grand Jury Award This is the Jury's pick for the best film of the year. The Team Leader of this film receives a CC7D plaque, a cash prize and a $50 voucher courtesy of Southwest Airlines.
Honorable Mention Award This is the Jury's pick for the second place film of the year. The Team Leader of this film receives a CC7D plaque and a cash prize.
Technical Acheivement Award This is the Jury's pick for the most technically proficient film based on common filmmaking elements such as cinematography, sound design, editing, and camera work. The Team Leader of this film receives a CC7D plaque.
Best Actor Best Actress Best Supporting Actor Best Supporting Actress The Jury picks the top performances in the above four categories. The winner of each category receives a CC7D plaque.
Audience Award The sold out audience of the 2008 CC7D Screening votes for their favorite film. Each audience member receives a ballot. Only In Competition films are eligible for this award. The votes are tallied prior to the Award Ceremony. The Team Leader of this film receives a CC7D plaque and a cash prize.
Filmmaker's Award Every Team Leader that turned in a 2008 CC7D film (late, on time, In Competition or Just For Fun) who is in attendance at the screening votes for their favorite film. Only In Competition films are eligible for this award. Each Team Leader receives a ballot, but they may not vote for their own film. The votes are tallied prior to the Award Ceremony. The Team Leader of the winning film receives a CC7D plaque and a cash prize.
The Steering Committee Props Every year the CC7D Steering Committee gives unique, surprise 'Props' to certain films and filmmakers. The CC7D SC Props change yearly depending on what unique surprises are found within that year's films.
