The CC7D process begins Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. when the most talented people in Corpus Christi swarm House of Rock, located at 511 Starr Street, with the hope of seeing themselves on the big screen. The event is free and open to the public.
The 2008 CC7D Cast and Crew Call is designed to aid filmmakers in finding local talent eager to see their efforts shown on the big screen. Filmmakers will be looking for actors to appear in their films, crew to work behind the scenes and musicians to provide music for film scores and soundtracks.
While not required, it is strongly suggested that those wishing to be considered for cast bring copies of photos (a simple shot from the shoulders up) with a resume. It is not required that photos be professionally produced. Those with limited experience can present a fact sheet about themselves. Attendance at this event does not insure a place on a CC7D team.
In addition to finding cast and crew for their CC7D projects, many local filmmakers will cast various film projects including commercials, short films, feature films, industrial and music videos.
FILMMAKERS
If you have ANY cast and crew needs for any projects, CC7D or otherwise, you are welcome to attend. The set up will be very casual. There will be tables along the border of the room and you set up camp where there is space. There are no reserved tables. You are responsible for bringing anything you need (paper, pens, business cards, flyers, equipment, etc). We will provide generic name tags for you and all attendees. Set up is at 6 PM. The doors open at 6:30. Please be set up by 6:30. There will be a short CC7D Q&A at 7:00. The casting call will resume thereafter and go until 8 PM or so (no set time). The Caller Times is running a story on Wed. Most of the TV stations will be there. If you want to bring a camera for auditions know that it will be crowded and loud. There will be a larger expo at another location later in the year. Please email us with questions or requests.
